There is landscape painting; there is abstract; and then there is the vague area somewhere in between. These paintings have a sense of place, of a landscapse, but are intensely ambiguous. Do they depict land? sea? with a horizon? where? and reflections - of what? These paintings are meant to be gazed at slowly, to see the places emerge.
